Grit Master-Screw Seperator

The Grit Master Automated Grit Removal System with Shaftless Screw Conveyor removes grit, and none floating inorganic waste. Simple flow stream and gravity driven separation system for any liquid waste stream. The Grit Master uses a horizontal downward-angled U-Channel with a UHMW with 1⁄4” Titanium liner and 11 1⁄2”shaftless screw to move sand, rocks, grit and other inorganic waste to an inclined U-Channel with a shaftless screw. Trucks offload liquid waste through a 6” cam inlet, where the unwanted sand, rocks, and grit enter at one end of the angled flow channel. As the flow stream moves across the channel the grit is separated from the liquid via gravity and removable baffle plates which slow the velocity and settle solid waste to the bottom of the channel. The shaftless screw, then moves the grit and solid waste
horizontally across the channel, which is set at a downward angle. Gravity takes over moving the flow stream across the channel to the 8” flow outlet. The 8”
outlet is then connected to a storage or processing tank for further purification of the water. Collected grit moves slowly to the upward incline U-Channel with 11 1⁄2” shaftless screw to the receptacle for disposal. As the material moves up the inclined screw the sand and grit dewater, allowing the water to settle back into the bottom of the horizontal flow channel.
